RISK THE PASSION Burned by betrayal, demon assassin Iskander won't get too close to anyone. He spends his days serving his warlord and his nights indulging in carnal pleasures . . . and that's exactly how he likes it. But when a mage wages a wrenching psychic assault on his beautiful tenant Paisley, Iskander must defend her. Under his protection, she will be drawn irresistibly into his life and learn about her own mysterious powers. And not a moment too soon. The mage haunting her isn't acting alone-and he won't rest until he destroys both Paisley and Iskander.

  1. Other than reading or the internet, my favorite passion would probably be crafts. I love to crochet and also working with beads and doing other types of crafts. I am also planning on starting to quilt.

My favorite passion after reading is chocolate -luckily I like to bake too so I do quite a bit of baking during the winter months but usually not during the summer because of the heat we are subjected to in the mid-west....lol....I also like to watch old movies and crochet. I think I would love to learn to knit but that would really cut into my reading time..lol

Other than reading, my other favorite pleasure is going to the movies. My favorite type of movie is action adventure! No chick flicks, no animation, no horror. I want stuff blowing up, excellent special effects, hero's saving the day, special ops, comic book movies, hot cops! Hmm, come to think of it, I need to get to the theater to see the new X-Men flick that is playing....

  17. Congratulation to this week's winners and thanks for featuring Carolyn Jewel toda py. Carolyn is not only a wonderful writer but also a "spunky" lady in my book! If you haven't already read her stories be sure to pick one up today.

My greatest pleasure in life (besides reading) are my grandchildren! One is spending some time here for a few days and believe me it's a lot easier than going to work everyday! I never thought that anything would give me more joy than my two sons but when their children look up at me with a smile on their face my heart is lost to them. My husband and I have always believed that there is nothing more important than family and because of that we realized that you must also me involved with making your town a better place for children to live and show them my example to be involved with their community.

Pleasure comes from showing by example to your children and grandchildrern what values are to be treasured.

  19. Thanks for an awesome excerpt which has whetted my appetite. Carolyn is a new author to me, and this is also a new genre for me. I keep hearing about these "paranormal romance books" and would definitely like to try this out.

When I'm not reading (my favorite hobby) I like to do some retail therapy or,catch up on my soaps.

Mary's reviews are always very inspiring to me.

By the way Kim, I'm off to Tampa in two weeks, my son and his family are coming home for a visit.
