Today I am taking my boys to the Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium.  Actually, I gave the tickets to my husband and children as a Christmas gift but my husband has another commitment.  So I will brave the crowds for my boys! We attended last year and it was fun.  It was just annoying that the game revolved around the TV broadcast - there were several obvious delays for commercial breaks.

Both team practiced on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.

Have you attended a sports event?  One randomly selected commenter will win a book choice from my convention stash.  This giveaway is open to all readers.  Comments are open through Saturday, February 4, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winners on Sunday, February 5.

Mahalo,

  3. I've went to some pro hockey games as a kid and when I was in high school I went to so pro soccer games with a school sponsered group. I loved both of them, but I have to say that hockey is my favorite.

  7. Thank you so much Kim. I've been to only three Basball games. Two were to see the Cleveland Indians when we lived in Ohio. Then we saw The Rays in Tampa last year.

Congratulations to all the other winners.

  9. Congrats to the winners. The only games I have attended are just school games for my brother when he was young, and now my young nephews. I am not a sports fan, lol.

  10. Thank you, and congrats to all this week's other winners! As far as sports, I've been to baseball and a few football games (Padres and Chargers since we live in San Diego). I also had a wonderful time at a Harlem Globetrotters game years ago. I took my dad and we had a great time. Enjoy the Pro Bowl!

  11. Congrats to all the winners! I too will be watching tonight. I bought my husband season tickets to our Pittsburgh, Steelers early on in our marriage. We had them for over 15 years but once we had kids we gave them up. I got to go to one bowl game and that was Penn State at the Orange Bowl in Arizona. My father-in-law lived there at the time so it was a wonderful trip.

  12. Congrats to all of this weeks wiiners!

Kim, have fun at the game with your boys!

Yep, Hubs and I like to attend the farm league in the next town for the Boston Red Sox. But what we are really FANatics of is NASCAR. We try to attend at least four major races a year and of course, our local track too.

  13. Thank you for the win I do love my Highlanders ;-)
The Last sports event i went was years ago that was also the time I found out my BF Now my DH had a weaker bladder than me, lol It was a bus trip just across the border but with no bathroom on board & a lot of drink flowing around he was stopping the bus every 1/2 hr to the moans of the other passengers.... MIND YOU on the way home was a completely different story they were the ones that were stopping the bus by asking DH to go ask lol.. Piece of advice NEVER SIT BY THE WINDOW OF A BUS WITH NO TOILET Just saying ;-)
    have a good one ann/alba
Kim enjoy your time with the boys & the football.

  14. I love sporting events--especially football games. I think it's great that you're taking your boys to the Pro Bowl. I live in a large city with pro football, basketball and baseball teams. We've been to lots of games. Hope you have a great time!

  15. I have been for pro football and basketball games. The commercial lengths drive me crazy. It is always at the best part and we, as the paying audience, are made to wait.

  16. Congrats to all the winners!!!

Kim- Hope you guys have fun at the game!!! I've only been to a local hockey game and it was so much fun! I haven't made it yet to a college football game yet, but it's on my bucket list :)

  17. I have had the fortune to see the L.A. Lakers play several times and the L.A. Clippers once. We also won a trip to a NASCAR race once...that was definitely a different experience! It is a different feeling from being home and comfortable in front of the television (which I much prefer). It is still fun to be with all of the other screaming people although I have gotten to the point where I don't really like crowds. You guys should have fun (and if all else fails....bring a book!).

  18. Congratulations to all the winners!! I've been to a number of sporting events, but not within the last couple of years. I've been to a football game back when the NE Patriots were the Boston Patriots (in Boston)! I've also been to several NASCAR races (in Virginia and Texas) and a Grand Prix race in Houston, TX. Have also attended a Triple A baseball game in El Paso. Still pretty envious of Kim and the Pro Bowl tickets - hope you enjoy!!

  22. I'm not a big sport fan but I did go to a Indy Car race once. Not sure if that is really a sport though. LOL! I would love to go to a big hockey game one day. I think that would be fun.

  23. The only football game I ever went to was a New York Giant's preseason game. This was a long time ago, before I even had children but it was exciting.
