Are you ready for a winter break on a tropical island? Today's guest, C. R. Moss, is taking readers to the Grand Cayman in her new release, SUNSET DESIRES. C. R. Moss knows something about warm weather. From her bio,
Currently a resident of the hot, high desert in the southwest, C.R. knew she wanted to write at a young age, as early as she learned to read, cooking up stories to entertain herself in the rural, non-kid-laden area she had lived in. But she took a round about way to settle down as a fiction writer, having worked in the corporate and real estate realms writing newspaper articles, press releases, corporate newsletters, etc. Now that she’s settled into the health care industry, she has returned to her first love: creative writing. When she isn’t working at her practice or at her computer cooking up another tale, she can be found hanging out with her husband and cat, reading a book, chillin’ in front of the TV, or working on a craft project. She has also been known to play WOW.

| From C. R. Moss - Sunset |
Kim: We are travel enthusiasts at SOS Aloha. What is your favorite sight, sound, and smell of the Southwest?
C. R.: I love seeing the snow capped mountains and beautiful sunsets. As for sound and smell, there are the sounds of nature in the national conservation areas and parks, much more peaceful than the mechanical sounds of the city, and I like the smell of the earth after a good rainstorm.
| After the storm in Hawaii - a rainbow! |
Kim: Can you share one tidbit that Terri Valentine impressed upon you? (reference her full bio at this link).
Kim: From corporate to real estate to health care, do you pull from these experiences to create your characters and plots?
C. R.: Yes, on occasion I’ve been known to pull from my old careers, drawing out tidbits of personalities for characters, places for settings and information to assist with subject matter–like using the basis and background knowledge of energy work that I learned in the massage field for some paranormal stories I’m working on.
A blind date. A hot tropical evening. She’ll be someone he can’t forget. He’ll fulfill her ultimate fantasy.
Kim: What's next for C. R. Moss?
C. R.: My second Sunset story has been accepted by Decadent. It’s called Sunset Seduction and takes place in my home city of Las Vegas. The blurb for it is:
One evening. One date. Easy, right?
Heather Tramonto, a business woman with only her career and a quickie on her mind, is all set for her 1NS date and a bit of adult fun–no conditions, no commitment–when a surprise shows up at her door.
Lane Stanwyck is entering the dating world after years of an estranged marriage and the passing of his hostile wife. When Madame Eve schedules an anonymous tryst for him–no conditions, no commitment–he believes it to be the perfect arrangement for his first time out in the dating field in ages. That is until he sees the woman of his dreams.
One night. No strings. That might be a problem for this pair.
I’m also working with my writing partner on the second story for our Double D Ranch Tales series. Then there’s a book called Tracked—a romantic suspense—I’m in the process of formatting for publication under my other pen name, Casey Moss.
Mahalo, C. R., for joining us at SOS Aloha! C. R. is giving away an ecopy of SUNSET DESIRES to one randomly selected commenter. To enter the giveaway,
C. R.: She helped me through some rough spots in learning the craft and pushed me to believe in myself and my work.

Kim: Tell us about SUNSET DESIRES!
C. R.: Sunset Desires is available from Decadent Publishing and is a part of their One Night Stand series. Inspiration for the story came from my love of sunsets and a trip to Grand Cayman. When I heard about Decadent’s 1NS series, I was excited to apply this story to their line and am so happy to be a part of the series now. Here’s the blurb:

Gwendolyn Tramonto is stunned to learn her cousin set her up with sex on the beach and it’s not the drink. But after a several year dry spell of no relationships, no dates…no sex, Gwen decides to take her cousin up on her offer and go out on the blind date. For once, she’d like to indulge in a fantasy, be wined and dined instead of the other way around, and if she and the man ended up in bed together, that would be a nice bonus.
Evan Cadell is looking forward to the date his uncle arranged for him through an exclusive matchmaking service and taking a one night break from work, life and all its demands. From Gwen’s profile, Evan knows what her fantasy is and believes he’s the man who can make it come true.
But will one night in paradise be enough to satisfy their desires?

Loved the interview! C. R. is a new-to-me author. SUNSET DESIRES sounds like a great read. I would like to see a sunset in Hawaii or Grand Caymens.
ReplyDeleteThis is a new author but the books sound great as for sunsets I would love to watch the sunset in Hawaii all the talk about it and the stunning pics I have seen have made me wish I could have been there already!
ReplyDeleteHi all! Thank you so much for stopping by! I appreciate your lovely comments on the stories, covers and interview. :) The covers are gorgeous, aren't they? I love how 'hot' Sunset Seduction looks. Just like it can get here in Vegas. ;) I, too, would love to see a sunset (or even sunrise) in Hawaii. The 1NS stories are great. I had fun writing these two and I have two more 'Sunset' stories in progress so stay tuned!

I am in total agreement with Barbara those covers are amazing and yes I would love to see Hawaii, yes I would love to spend time with my BFF Kim, and yes I think it would be amazing. But I have to get over my flying issues and that is not looking to promising.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim I am ordering these books today.
Anywhere...they always look amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks RR & BN for stopping by and commenting! I have to agree that sunsets look amazing anywhere really. & I kinda have problems flying too so I'm with you RR that it might make a long distance trip a bit difficult at first.

The most beautiful sunset I ever saw was on the North Shore of Oahu. I would love to be able to go back there someday.

I went to Oregon one year and i loved it. My aunt to me to this wild life spot. There was a lake and different animals, it was so peaceful and calming. We stayed and explored all day. Towards sunset, she took me to a high hill, and we sat and watched the sun go down. It was gorgeous. I wanted to go back. She took me a couple days later to watch the sunset. I dont know which i loved more. ;D
ReplyDeleteHow can you choose between those beautiful locations? At this point, I would be happy to see any sunset with my husband! And I like the INS series, too.
ReplyDeleteHello Stacie, Shadow & Karen. Thanks for stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome for the giveaway.
I've been to Bend & Sunriver OR. Beautiful area. Didn't get a chance to see much in the way of sunsets though.
So many places, so many different sunsets to see. Yep, it can be difficult to choose. :)
