But red is not just for Valentine's Day - this Friday, February 3, is the American Heart Association's NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY at this link. It promotes awareness of heart health,
Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts — every day, women are dying at the rate of almost one per minute. Show your support for the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red. It’s an easy, powerful way to raise awareness of the No. 1 killer of Hispanic women - heart disease.

I am indeed celebrating a couple of things this February. My sister in laws birthday is on the 5th, my nephews is on the 10th, my dad's is on the 24th and .....My 42nd birthday will be on the 17th of this month!

February is a big month for us. In addition to Valentine's Day and Mardi Gras, Hubby and I celebrate our (joint) birthday and our wedding anniversary. Happy February, all!
ReplyDeleteNo big celebrations for the Fam in February. Actually it's a bit of a depressing month because of certain circumstances, so we just let it pass by. I'm looking forward to Ash Wednesday though. I'm really, really, reallyyyy going to give it a go and go without something this time.

ReplyDeleteFebruary is a busy month for our family. The twin neices birthday on the 7th, my brothers on the 23rd, and deceased mother-in-law, also the 23rd (I always remember her), my friends birthday on the 24th and remembering the anniversary of my Mum's death February 25th.

ReplyDeleteIt's my son's birthday today. So we've had a busy few days celebrating. We tend to make a big deal of these things.
ReplyDeleteNothing special happening here. We don't even celebrate Valentine's Day traditionally but it is more common to do these days, especially among younger people.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest niece is turning 18 on 2/6! I can't believe that she is that old and will be graduating HS in a few months. It seems like she should still be about 5 or 6 years old.

ReplyDeleteMy best friend's birthday is in February. Hopefully we will get a chance to celebrate it this month but we are comfortable enough with each other that sometimes we celebrate three or four months down the road!

I celebrated by 69th birthday on Feb 2nd and my daughters on Feb 3. She was my 21st birthday present, a day late, and still enjoying. lol
