Aloha to Tracy Anne Warren and THE PRINCESS AND THE PEER

Tracy Anne Warren is an award winning, best selling author of historical romance.   She writes sexy stories with humorous characters.  And she loves cats.

The last endears her to me.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Tracy several times - the first at the Old Fashioned Tea Party (at this link).  The second - a book signing in DC.   Three times is a charm  when Tracy took me for lunch before I moved to Hawaii.  Last year, we chatted over breakfast at RWA in NYC with Mary Gramlich, the Reading Reviewer.

Tracy is celebrating the release of THE PRINCESS AND THE PEER - the first book in The Princess Brides Trilogy:

When a royal summons from her brother arrives, Emma knows it’s time to embrace her duties as the princess of a small European kingdom, and marry the man her brother has chosen for her…a stranger she has never met. Instead she does what any self-respecting princess would do—she runs away. All she wants is one week in London. One week to experience everything life has to offer, before she is locked away in a loveless marriage forever…

Former naval captain Nick Gregory has inherited a title he never wanted. As the new Earl of Lyndhurst, he chafes against his landlocked existence—until fate brings a mysterious young beauty across his path. Believing she’s an unemployed governess, Nick offers shelter and protection to the captivating girl, never guessing her true identity.

Emma falls hard for Nick, but knowing they have no future, she flees once more—this time back to her royal responsibilities. But when she and Nick unexpectedly meet again, she learns that against all odds, he’s determined to make this princess his bride…

  6. Thanks on the great post! I've just discovered this book and I'm loving the premise.

I'm a secret disney princess and I love them all. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid. I think they hold a special place b/c I was an actual kid when some of them first came out and I remember seeing several in the movie theater.

  21. My favorite fairy tale is The Red Shoes by Hans Christian Anderson. My Grandmother told me the story when I was a young girl. I can remember sitting on the floor in front of her as she sat in her rocking chair where she would sit mending clothes (she was a seamstress and I remember her old trundle sewing machine as well).

Every visit she would tell me a different fairy tale from her own childhood by she told me the story of The Red Shoes the most often. It was a story to remind me as a young girl to always be greatful for the things I did have and not to long for what I didn't have. It thought the virtue of being humble and being kind to others.

It wasn't just a simple fairy tale it was a lesson in life.

  35. THE PRINCESS AND THE PEER sounds wonderful. Just the type of read I can sink into.

My first response would be Cinderella, but honestly, I would need to go back and revisit some of them. It has been quite a while since I read them and my point of view could have changed in the last few *cough* years.
