Aloha to Kristine Grayson and THOROUGHLY KISSED

Fairy tales are making a comeback.  Earlier in the spring, Julie Roberts starred as the evil queen in MIRROR MIRROR - a lighthearted take on Snow White.  This weekend, Charlize Theron portrays a monstrous queen in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN.   Perhaps SLEEPING BEAUTY is next for the silver screen.

In the meantime, Kristine Grayson offers her own modern twist of classic fairy tales.  Kristine is celebrating Sourcebooks' reissue of THOROUGHLY KISSED - Book 2 in the Charming Books series:

Sleeping Beauty has sworn off kissing...

Emma awakens to an entirely different world than the one she lived in a thousand years ago, and although she's the real Sleeping Beauty, her life is no fairy tale. After parting ways with her supposed Prince Charming, she's determined to be a normal girl—she hides her magic and swears off kissing strange men.

But her gorgeous boss Michael knows there 's something unusual about Emma, and he thinks she's as infuriating as she is beautiful. Now Emma needs to teach Michael a lesson, which means mastering her magic. She knows she's flirting with danger, but after one look at Michael's perfect lips, all she can think is, "What's another thousand years ... ?"

Welcome to the fractious fairy tale world of Kristine Grayson, where the bumpy road to happily ever after is paved with surprises ...

  12. Drew Barrymore and her prince in Ever After is my all time favorite. Angelica Huston and her daughters also put in a great performance. She and her oldest daughter were the perfect ones to hate. I watch it fairly frequently and it never ceases to make me cry.

  19. I loved the idea of Ever After, but since I am not a Drew Barrymore fan she ruined it for me. I did love the Beauty and the Beast tv series that was on tv long time ago, maybe in the late 80's-early 90's? I was really young but sometimes my Mom would let me watch it. The Beast lived in the sewers under some city, and Beauty would meet him there. Hmm...I should google it.
