AN AMERICAN IN PARIS starred Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, and Oscar Levent,
Three friends struggle to find work in Paris. However, things become more complicated when two of them fall in love with the same woman.
An American in London, aka Michele Gorman's SINGLE IN THE CITY, offers the same lighthearted fare:
Take one twenty six year old American, add to a 2,000 year old city, add a big dose of culture clash and stir.
Michele gives us a second helping of the lovable Hannah in Hong Kong in MISFORTUNE COOKIE:
"Following your heart will pay off in the near future."
The fortune cookie had spoken, affirming Hannah’s decision to move to Hong Kong to be with her boyfriend. She’s no stranger to rash decisions – after all she moved from the US to London on a dare, and that worked out, didn’t it? Ever the optimist, she’s determined to make a success of her move, no matter
what anybody says.
Unfortunately, anybody seems to be everybody and her life isn’t going exactly to plan.

I write funny romantic fiction that's made for stuffing into suitcases and covering with suncreamy fingerprints.
Indeed, MISFORTUNE COOKIE was a delightful read during my flight to/from LA. Luckily, it snuggled in my new Kindle and avoided the sunscreen smudges! I posted my review of MISFORTUNE COOKIE at this link and Goodreads at this link. I am giving away an electronic copy of MISFORTUNE COOKIE to one randomly selected commenter. To enter the giveaway,

What if his proposal had an expiration date?
The Twelve Days to Christmas
A Christmas novella
On the First day of Christmas my fortune gave to me…
a ticket home to see my family
Hannah has dreamed of this day for years. Sam, the love of her life, is about to propose. In twelve days he'll fly home with her to the US for Christmas, to meet her parents. He says he's got something very important to talk to them about.
Their relationship hasn't always been smooth sailing, but he's finally realized she's The One, and is determined to devote the rest of his life to making her happy. Hannah should be over the moon. If only she can put their past, and her secret, behind them as time ticks down to their flight.
What lies in store for Hannah's future on the twelve days to Christmas?
Coming down a chimney near you in time for Christmas 2012.
