Kim: Who influences your writing? Who/what helped you along the road to publishing?
Emma: Amazing writers influence my writing and every day life inspires me. I get such satisfaction in reading a book that stays with me long after I finish it. First and foremost I am a reader, then a writer. :)
What helped me along the road to publishing was my friends - there is nothing more inspiring than others who believe in you. I wouldn't be where I am without those wonderful woman.

Kim: Purple - what draws you to it? What's your favorite purple thing? Favorite shoes? Most unusual purse?
Emma: Oooh, purple. It's the color of passion - it's what drives me to write. My favorite purple thing? I have a lot of purple things, from shoes to pants, to purses, luggage and more. LOL. My favorite purple shoes are a pair of light purple New Balance sneakers - super comfy! Most unusual purse is a circular metal vintage cowgirl purse. Super fun!! :)

Kim: Tell us about your latest novel! What inspires your love for cowboys?
Emma: Cowboys!! I have always loved cowboys, what I consider to be modern day knights, with an unbreakable code of honor. Since I was a young girl watching Big Valley and Clint Eastwood movies, I've been in love with the idea of cowboys.
My latest book is CIRCLE EIGHT: BRODY. Brody Armstrong first appeared in the Circle Eight: Matthew as the investigator for the crimes committed against the Graham family. Black hair, ice blue eyes and an attitude to match, Brody was a mysterious force who needed to return for his own story, The Circle Eight: Brody. He wears a black hat and is hard as the land he protects. Fortunately for him, Olivia Graham is just as tough and stubborn as Brody. Clash of the Titans, y'all. :)
BRODY is a rough, sexy, intense and violent story. Quite different from MATTHEW in that it’s a road romance and there is plenty of guns and blood. The story almost told itself – the touch Texas Ranger and the outspoken Olivia Graham. It is super hot in terms of the heat level but that’s how the characters wanted it. ;)
Kim: What's next for Emma Lang/Beth Williamson?
Emma: Next up is the ebook rerelease of THE PERFECT SCORE on November 6th, three erotic contemporary novellas set in Texas at a bowling tournament. Two are m/f, one is f/f - a different flavor for everyone. Hot, sexy and fun.
In February, CIRCLE EIGHT: CALEB is on the horizon. Book three in this series brings us the missing Graham sibling, Benjy. Caleb and Aurora are like gasoline and fire - burning hot and bright.:)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite color is blue. I am a sucker for blue eyes. How wonderful that I managed to have two blue eyed children! My favorite purse is a Dooney and Bourke "Miami" style. There are pictures of sandals, a beach chair, and other beach items on the outside. Every time that I pick it up I am reminded of the beautiful state that I live in and all that it offers. My favorite shoes are a pair of Clarke sandals... what eles in sunny South Florida! bettysunflower

My favorite color has always been blue. As for shoes, as long as they are comfortable they are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color is red. Anything red especially sweaters or dresses. My favorite shoe is sandals of any type, not thongs, a nice pan of sandals. My favorite purse is my Dooney & Burke black & white signature shoulder bag. I worked at Nordstrom for a couple of years and won it in one of their giveaways. I had to pay takes on it, but it was so worth it. I also love just about anything by Kate Spade & Coach.

I like turquoise and magenta. I have a pair of sandals that I love but they are wearing out. My daughter got me a Vera Bradley purse 4 yrs. ago and when the handle wore out she got me another one for mother's day - lovely colors and a nice size with lots of pockets.
