This week my family is off to Maui for Fall Break! I have a handful of holiday themed books to read ... which I will feature this week at SOS Aloha! Speaking of the holidays, we're going to do something different for Operation Holiday Card. My husband is currently in Korea for a year. While we expect him home for the holidays, other personnel without families remain in Korea. I must admit the days when our sons were young and we took a yearly trip up to either Vermont or New Hampshire to view the leaves turning and alwasy made sure to pick up some Maple Syrup from a small local producer of syrup! We often even got a personal tour of their trees and oepration.
The most fun was the year a family took our sons into their barn and "introduced" them to their "milking" cows and even let them "take a try" at milking the cows!
On the other hand sleeping in a tent trailer with the nearest bathroom a mile away - not so much so!
