On the fifth day of October, the book fairy gave to me ... Vanessa Kelly's HIS MISTLETOE BRIDE:
When Major Lucas Stanton inherited his earldom, he never dreamed his property would include the previous earl’s granddaughter. Phoebe Linville is a sparkling American beauty, yes, but with a talent for getting into trouble. Witness the compromising position that forced them into wedlock. Whisked away to Mistletoe Manor, his country estate, it isn’t long before she is challenging his rules—and surprising him in and out of bed.
Phoebe has no intention of bowing to Lucas’ stubbornness, even though he offers all that she wants. His kisses and unexpected warmth are enticing, but Phoebe is determined to show the Earl of Merritt what real love is all about. And if that takes twelve nights of delicious seduction by a roaring fire, she’s more than willing to reveal her gifts very slowly…
I posted my review of MY MISTLETOE BRIDE on Goodreads at this link. I am giving away a Hawaiian holiday ornament to one randomly selected commenter. To enter the giveaway,
1. Leave a comment about country estates - if you owned one, what would you call it?
I would call it Hale of Ho'okipa - House of Hospitality.
2. This giveaway is open to all readers.
3. Comments are open through Saturday, October 6, 10 pm in Hawaii. I'll post the winner on Sunday, October 7.

I think I'd call it Pale Rose Manor or something. As I now live in Pale Rose Cottage :D
ReplyDeleteGot pale roses in the garden and just loved the name. Perhaps not so grand but I like it.
I'm thinking Blue Cliffs Hall/Abbey.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine my mansion sitting atop a hill - so something fitting like HILLSIDE HALL.
ReplyDeleteIf I owned a country estate I would call Wheaton Manor.
ReplyDeleteUnlike others I picture my country estate as a modest dwelling but charming none the less! It would be near a small village where I could help the local residents to create new ideas on producing income and help them with creating a welcoming place for travelers to stop on their way to their country estates.
DeleteThe field around my estate would be filled with wild flowers and their would be a large wrap around porch with comfortable seating to sit on while relaxing from the hectic pace of town life and instead me able to read and reflect on the simpliar things in life and I would name it Rambling Manor.
If I owned a country estate, I would call it Homestead Manor.
ReplyDeleteI love Vanessa's books.
I think mine would be Southern Comfort.
ReplyDeleteEversly Mansion or Woodcrest Park. I really want to own one so much. :|
ReplyDeleteI'd name it for whatever kind of trees are there.
ReplyDeleteCat Lair Estate lol.
ReplyDeleteI would call it Haven. Not sure if I would attach 'Manor'.
ReplyDeleteRatty Manor...
ReplyDeletelol
I am not sure. I would have to see it and see what name it wanted.
ReplyDeleteParadise
ReplyDeleteI would call my The Country Farm Estates. It is where I live now. These books look great. Thanks for the giveaway.

I am not sure what I would name it.... possibly something like Pet Haven (since my pets tend to rule the household anyway, lol). I am really not very good about naming things.
ReplyDeleteHeaven Country State :)
