It is healer.

We could use a healer in my house as we are plagued by what's going around .... the benefit of being sick is reading more. I am currently reading Victoria Roberts' X MARKS THE SPOT, featuring a heroine who is a ho'ola ....
He was a Highland Rogue Wicked with a Bow and Just as Wicked with the Ladies.
Declan MacGregor hadn't a care in the world beyond finding a soft bed and a willing woman...until he had to escort Lady Liadain Campbell to the English court. The woman needles him at every turn, but he can't just abandon her to that vipers' nest without protection.
She Never Asked for a Bodyguard...
Liadain wasn't thrilled to be left in the care of her clan's archrival. It was as if the man never had a lady tell him no before! And yet as whispers of treason swirl through the court and the threat of danger grows even sharper, her bitter enemy soon becomes the only one she can trust...

Oh, ginger ale was a staple in our house, that and tea, depending on your illness, and soup and liquid Jello. My one daughter had the terrible stomach virus but so far no flu in our family thank goodness. Hope you are all feeling better.

I'm not sick very often, but if I have a sick stomach it's 7-Up and if I have a cold, it's staying in bed and sleeping until it goes away. :D Of course soup helps too.

ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to read Declan's story! I fell hard for him in Temptation In A Kilt. This is one that I'm gifting myself next week on my birthday when I go book shopping. :)
Comfort Foods - Chicken Soup, Scrambled Eggs, Cinnamon Toast, Tea with Honey & Milk & cuddle under a blanket to stay warm.
ReplyDeleteClassic cure all. Me...well I wish I had something. My husband sweats by the jetty pot. I just get to be miserable. Even worse when your kids get it, mine were sick right before I left for vacation so of course I am under the weather. At least the weather is a beautiful 80 here in Puerto Rico...hey! That's my cure all hahaha
ReplyDeleteHope you get well soon!
ReplyDeleteMy cure all is ensuring I have enough rest/sleep. Usually when I fall sick it's nothing more virulent than a cough/cold or a bad throat (touch wood) & i gargle with warm salt water & ensure I get enough liquids/water.
My cure is to go to bed and rest which I could do once my children were grown.
