Spring Fling with Kensington - Vanessa Kelly's CONFESSIONS OF A ROYAL BRIDEGROOM

18167470

Spring is here ... let's celebrate in style with Vanessa Kelly's CONFESSIONS OF A ROYAL BRIDEGROOM:

They are the Renegade Royals, illegitimate sons of the Royal Princes, each finding his rightful place in society—and the woman destined to be his perfect match…

Some men are born into scandal. Others pursue it with a passion. Griffin Steele, secret son of the Duke of Cumberland, is guilty on both counts. Yet somehow London’s most notorious scoundrel has been saddled with an abandoned baby boy—and with the unflappable, intriguing spinster summoned to nurse him…

Justine Brightmore may be a viscount’s niece, but she’s also a spy’s daughter, determined to safeguard the infant when his suspected royal parentage makes him a target. Yet how to protect herself from the rakish Griffin? Marriage might shield her reputation, but it can only imperil her heart, especially with a groom intent on delicious seduction…

Confessions of a bride ... she loves the kai!

I am giving away a print copy of CONFESSIONS OF A ROYAL BRIDEGROOM to one randomly selected commenter. To enter the giveaway,

Spring Fling with Kensington - Kimberly Kincaid's TURN UP THE HEAT

18051946

Spring lets us all start anew.   Kimberly Kincaid recently kicked off a new series, Pine Mountain, with TURN UP THE HEAT, where the heroine starts anew ....

"It's not you."

There are only so many times a girl can hear those words before she believes that it is, in fact, very much her. Unexpectedly jilted by her locally famous boyfriend and haunted by a boss who makes Attila the Hun look like a lap dog, Bellamy Blake does what any self-respecting girl in her shoes would do. She rounds up her two best girlfriends and makes plans to get the hell out of Dodge.

But Bellamy's escape plan takes a nose dive on the side of rural route 164 when her transmission self-destructs, leaving her in the middle of a cell phone dead zone with nothing but her wits. Oh, and Shane Griffin, the hottest mechanic who's ever checked under her hood.

Yet this small-town man isn't all he seems. Can Shane and Bellamy prove that sometimes the most unlikely ingredients make the most deliciously sexy mix?

Spring Fling with Kensington - Liz Mugavero's A BISCUIT, A CASKET

18167494

Let's celebrate St. Patrick's Day with A BISCUIT, A CASKET, Book Two in the Gourmet Pet Food Mystery series.   This cozy mystery features an Irish bar, McSwiggs, with a Irish proverb proudly posted:

An áit a bhfuil do chroí is ann a thabharfas do chosa thú.
Your feet will bring you to where your heart is.

Who can resist an Irish pub in a cozy mystery?

The small town of Frog Ledge, Connecticut, has wholeheartedly embraced Kristan "Stan" Connor's new business--preparing quality organic treats for dogs and cats. On a healthy diet, the animals may live longer. . .but one local farmer won't be so lucky. As Halloween approaches, Stan is asked to cater a doggie costume party hosted by the Happy Cow Dairy Farm. Part of a local co-op, Happy Cow specializes in organic dairy products, and farmers Hal and Emmalee Hoffman have started opening up the farm for parties, offering a "haunted" corn maze as an added attraction.

When Hal's lifeless body is found in the maze, the police at first suspect his wife, but Stan soon learns the dairy farmer had plenty of enemies--from bitter family members to shady business associates. If Stan can't extract a kernel of truth from the labyrinth of lies, she may be the next one to buy the farm. . .

Biscuit or the beach?

If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. - Phil Pastoret

I requested to review A BISCUIT, A CASKET because the amateur detective is an animal lover - turned - biscuit maker for beloved pets. Although I had not read Book 1, KNEADING TO DIE, I quickly fell into step with this small town in Connecticut's farming community.   In fact, I felt I was part of Stan's integration as she made new friends, new customers, and perhaps a new love.   Mugavero delivers a lighthearted mystery intertwined with quirky characters who truly care about animals.   Mugavero offers recipes for gourmet pet treats at the end of the book.

I received an ARC from Kensington for an honest review.  I am giving away my ARC to one randomly selected commenter.  To enter the giveaway,

1.  Leave a comment about pets - do you have any?

2.  Comments are open through Saturday, March 23, 10 pm in Baltimore.

3.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, March 24.

Spring Fling with Kensington - Donna Kauffman's SWEET STUFF

17239899

After a very cold, snowy, and slushy winter, I am ready for the breezy scene on Donna Kauffman's cover.   I could also indulge in cupcakes ... as SWEET STUFF is Book 2 in the Cupcake Club Romance series:

Double Fudge…Toasted Coconut…Key Lime…Strawberry Cream…

Every bite is a mouthful of heaven.

And the women of the Cupcake Club are bringing their appetites …

Riley Brown never imagined she would find her bliss on Georgia’s quiet Sugarberry Island after years of Chicago’s city life. With a new career and fantastic new friends, she’s got it all—except for eligible men. But a gig staging a renovated beach house delivers a delicious treat—six feet of blue-eyed, gorgeous writer as delectable and Southern as pecan pie. Quinn Brannigan has come to Sugarberry to finish his latest novel in peace, and suddenly Riley has a taste for the bad boy author that no amount of mocha latte buttercream or lemon mousse will satisfy …

Riley’s friends are rooting for her to give in to her cravings and spice up her life, but it’s Quinn who needs to learn that life’s menu just might include love, in all its decadent, irresistible flavors…

I am giving away a print copy of SWEET STUFF to one randomly selected commenter.  To enter the giveaway,

1.  What's your favorite flavor of cupcake?  I love yellow cake topped with fudge icing!

2.  Comments are open through Saturday, March 22, 10 pm in Baltimore.

3.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, March 23.
