Aloha to Jayne Fresina and MISS MOLLY ROBBINS DESIGNS A SEDUCTION

16119825

On this day in 1919, Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, DW Griffith and Mary Pickford launched United Artists.  They formed their own company to control their own careers.

Artists.  They have vision.  Drive.  Talent.   Enter Molly Robbins ...

She Designs Dresses for London's Leading Ladies

Molly Robbins is finally stepping into the spotlight. Her unique dress designs have caught the eye of London's elite. And if it means her own dress shop, proper Molly will make a deal with the devil himself—the notoriously naughty Earl of Everscham. But becoming his mistress is not a part of their arrangement. It's right there in the contract's fine print: No Tomfoolery.

He's an Expert at Taking Them Off

Carver Danforthe has a reputation for beautiful mistresses, cutting remarks, and shirking his responsibilities—not for indulging the ambitions of his sister's maid. He must have been drunk when he signed that blasted contract. The stubborn female may thing she's gotten the best of him, but what this situation calls for is a little hands-on negotiating...

All's Fair in Love and Fashion.

  2. I don't have a big interest in fashion, but I can't resist checking out the red carpet gowns for all of the big awards, such as the Emmy's and the Oscars. I don't always watch the awards shows, but I at least go online and check out the gowns afterwards. I have no talent for design, so designing clothing has never even crossed my mind. I'm amazed at people who can come up with stylish, comfortable clothes, my hats off to them.

  3. I'm soooo not into fashion. But I do admire those who can put together or design a great outfit :) Thanks for sharing!

  4. I do love fashion, but these days I have my daughters help with my fashion choices. Since they are in their 20's they think they know it all, lol

  5. I dress totally for comfort, but I do love to swoon over the gowns at the award ceremonies.

  6. I don't bother much about clothes (I wear) as long as it's comfortable & clean but do enjoy looking at what the celebrities wear at award ceremonies

  8. Thank you for the review Kim! I am not so much into fashion as I used to be and tend to go for my comfy sweats most days, but I do admire those who can design and sew their own clothes.

  9. I've read the other three books in this series and they were very enjoyable reads for me. I'm not really into Fashion like I was when I was younger. I do love beautiful clothes and seeing them but I don't go crazy for them and seek out shows etc.

  11. I used to be a huge follower of fashion when I was younger. Now, I just like to be comfortable in the clothes that I wear.

  12. I am just into comfort also. However without fashion, the world would be rather boring.

  13. I don't pay much attention to fashion - like most, I prefer comfort. I'm lucky in that jeans and t-shirts/sweatshirts work for the type of business we own.

  14. I love to watch the Oscar pre show just for the fashions. Sometimes they are a hit; and sometimes they are a mis!

    Thanks for this giveaway!

  15. Although I love to watch the gowns on the award shows, I never really got into loving fashion. I had skinny feet so hated shoes and my mom worked in the clothes dept. at a local dept. store so she brought home my clothes which were always very nice but I never got the bug for shopping. Today I just like being comfortable lol.

  16. I enjoy fashion that people would actually wear - even if only for special occasions like weddings or fancy parties. When I do see clips of high fashion shows so many of the designs are so ridiculous and also not attractive.

  17. Hi Kim and Jayne!

    Jayne -

I just wanted to let you know how much I loved the first books in the series the previous books in your can't wait to read Miss Molly Robbins Designs a Seduction!

    Kim -

I actually come from a family of seamstresses! I can still remember my Grandmother teaching me sew when I was still in Grade School on her trundle sewing machine which she used to make dresses for her friends, family and neighbors to support my Mom and her three sisters. Of course "way back then" she had to make her own patterns and each piece she made was uniquely it's own! While my Aunts only sewed out of necessity when I was a teenager my Mom was encouraged by her friends to open a Bridal Shop after she had designed and made dresses for their daughters to wear.

The skill came in handy when my sons were born. We only had one car and while my husband was gone all day with our only car I would spend the time the boys were taking naps or late at night when everyone else had gone to sleep for the night to make them "outfits" to wear (and as they got older costumes for holloween - which after the holiday would be turned into warm comfy pajamas to wear at bedtime!).

Since I was undertall when I was a teenager I had always had a problem finding closes that weren't appropriate and hated having to go the the "girls department" to find clothes that might fit but were really not something a teenager would want to wear!

Back then I sewed out of necessity but now I get to sew for pleasure and my Grandchildren love the hand-hand quilts that I've made with the very sewing machine I had gotten for my 12th birthday all those years ago!

    1. I envy you that skill, Jeanne! My sisters all sew well, but that gene skipped over me, sadly

  18. I do have to add that I love shopping for shoes! That is one place where I still love fashion. :)

  19. I don't care to look at magazines however I do like to watch the show "what not to wear." I think it's interesting to watch the makeovers they do. I'm not fashionista but I do like to shop for new clothes.

  21. No, I am not a big fan of fashion. I wear slacks or jeans most of the time and rarely dress up. I do enjoy watching the stars wear their fashions at awards shows though.

  22. Thanks for the question, Kim! I have to admit I'm no fan of fashion either...but I am an unabashed fan of awards ceremonies and fashions on the red carpet. Doesn't make sense does it? Oh well, I enjoy what I enjoy...same with the books I read. The rest of my female kin do NOT read romance at all and they wonder at my love of it. But I think I enjoy my reading time more than they do! :-) Thanks for the post and an introduction to Jayne. I'm going to have to read something by her...soon. jdh2690@gmail.com

  24. I don't have the $ to follow fashion, but I am on the conservative side anyway. My daughter loves Project Runway, so I have caught a few episodes. They come up with some interesting stuff!

  25. How can you not love a heroine named Molly?
I'm not fashionable at all. My teen daughters kept threatening to turn me into "What Not to Wear." Thankfully that show is off the air !

  26. I'm not really much into fashion although I do enjoy watching the red carpets just to see what the latest trends are. I'm much more into comfort wear over style.

  27. I enjoy Project Runway too and I do like seeing what the stars are wearing on the red carpet.

  28. I don't have much interest in fashion. I don't read the magazines, and I am very happy in casual clothing. But, I do like to see what the stars are wearing at the Oscars.

  29. I have zero interest when it comes to fashion. Gimme jeans and a t-shirt any day of the week. The only time I pay any attention to fashion is when I admire all those lovely ball gowns on historical romance covers or in the descriptions.
