Aloha to Lisa Becker and DOUBLE CLICK

Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter. - Ansel Adams

In my review of Lisa Becker's first book, CLICK:  AN ONLINE LOVE STORY (link), I wrote, "Lisa delivers a humorous look at the search for love and the value of friendship, even as technology instantaneously brings lovers and friends together."

The sequel, DOUBLE CLICK is now available:

Fans of the romantic hit Click: An Online Love Story will enjoy another voyeuristic dive into the lives of Renee, Shelley, Ashley, Mark and Ethan, as Double Click picks up with their lives six months later. Are Renee and Ethan soul mates? Does Mark ever go on a date? Has Shelley run out of sexual conquests in Los Angeles? Will Ashley's judgmental nature sabotage her budding relationship? Through a marriage proposal, wedding, new baby and unexpected love twist, Double Click answers these questions and more. Readers will continue to cheer, laugh, cry and cringe following the email exploits of Renee and friends.

The final installment, RIGHT CLICK, is due out this spring.

OK, I'll show my age.   In high school (early eighties), my physics teacher taught an after school programming course where we saved the Basic program to a tape recorder!

3.  Comments are open through Saturday, March 1, 10 pm in Baltimore.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, March 2.

  1. The first time that I used a computer was back in the very early days of Apple computers. My dad had bought one for my younger brother, so I used to have a go on it when I visited. It's probably the very early 80's, if not sooner.

Please don't enter me into the contest, as I don't read e-books.

  5. First time I was in high school and we were writing codes that when you hit enter, they would make something appear on the computer screen and move, like a stick man walking across the computer screen. And we stored all those codes on floppy discs. lol

  6. It must have been sometime during high school. Some of my friends had computers at their homes, and it was there that I used them for the first times.

  10. Oh, my goodness! I can't remember that far back! I do remember when the bank I was working for converted to a computer for the loan system and I would have loan officers ask me what my manual records showed while they had the computer printout in their hand - they didn't trust the computer.
