Aloha to Mary Jo Putney and SOMETIMES A ROGUE

Mary Jo Putney is one of Baltimore's brightest stars ... and romance's classic writers.    She has a long list of accolades, including RWA's Lifetime Achievement Award from this year's national conference (link).   Mary Jo keeps it all in perspective.  From her last line of her bio (link),

She says that not least among the blessings of a full-time writing career is that one almost never has to wear pantyhose.

I'm sandwiched between the Word Wenches,
Cara Elliott (left) and Mary Jo (right)
at RWA 2011 in NYC.

It is my privilege to spotlight her recent release, SOMETIMES A ROGUE, Book 5 in the Lost Lords series:

Sometimes…

Even the most proper young lady yearns for adventure. But when the very well bred Miss Sarah Clarke-Townsend impulsively takes the place of her pregnant twin, it puts her own life at risk. If the kidnappers after her sister discover they’ve abducted Sarah instead, she will surely pay with her life…

A Rogue…

Rob Carmichael survived his disastrous family by turning his back on his heritage and becoming a formidable Bow Street Runner with a talent for rescuing damsels in distress. But Sarah is one damsel who is equal to whatever comes. Whether racing across Ireland with her roguish rescuer or throwing herself into his arms, she challenges Rob at every turn.

Always a Rogue ... the Celtic Band, The Rouges,
are featured at the Maryland Renaissance Festival

I am currently reading SOMETIMES A ROGUE - I appreciate being in the hands of a master craftsman.   I am giving away a print copy of SOMETIMES A ROGUE to one randomly selected commenter.  To enter the giveaway,

1.  Leave a comment about an adventure for which you yearn ... I yearn to explore more of Maryland's historic countryside.

2.  This giveaway is open to all readers.

3.  Comments are open through Saturday, September 7, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, September 8.
