Aloha to Victoria James and FALLING FOR HER ENEMY

Victoria James stops by today as part of her headlining tour with Ophelia London ... from her bio,

Victoria James is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance.

Victoria always knew she wanted to be a writer and in grade five, she penned her first story, bound it (with staples and a cardboard cover) and did all the illustrations herself. Luckily, this book will never see the light of day again.

In high school she fell in love with historical romance and then contemporary romance. After graduating University with an English Literature degree, Victoria pursued a degree in Interior Design and then opened her own business. After her first child, Victoria knew it was time to fulfill her dream of writing romantic fiction.

Victoria is a hopeless romantic who is living her dream, penning happily-ever-after's for her characters in between managing kids and the family business. Writing on a laptop in the middle of the country in a rambling old Victorian house would be ideal, but she's quite content living in suburbia with her husband, their two young children, and very bad cat.

Kim:  Tell us about where you live - what is your favorite sight, sound, and smell?

Victoria: O live in a not-so-small town, outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I adore the fall and winter and enjoy walking through the nature trails during those seasons. The crunching of leaves underfoot on a brisk fall day is my favourite!

Kim:  Which historical romance converted you into one of the believers?

Victoria:  I was obsessed with all of Judith McNaught's historical romances. My favourite was Almost Heaven.

Kim:  What did you learn from Interior Design that you could apply to writing romance?

Victoria:  Hmm...I think that in both, the concept that you usually have to make a big mess in order to have a great end result. Usually at some point in my books, there's a big mess that I need to fix, lol before I get to the end. And that's always the case in interior design!

Kim:  I have four bad cats - does your "bad" cat interrupt your writing? Have you included pets in your stories?

Victoria:  If I shut my office door, my cat will be standing on the other side trying to make eye contact with me (It's a French door). If I ignore her, she will scratch at the door until I'm so irritated that I'll get up and let her in :). Yes! I've written in pets :).

Kim:  Tell us about FALLING FOR HER ENEMY - what inspired it?

Victoria:  Well, first off, CHRISTMAS! I'm a Christmas junkie and I had to make sure I had a book release for the season. I love writing about families coming together and finding love during the holidays, especially when they aren't looking for it!

Kim:  What's next for Victoria James?

Victoria:  You won't have to wait long-next week is another Christmas release! I have another book, THE BILLIONAIRE'S CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL that releases next Monday, November 16th. This book features characters that appeared in my very first book, THE BILLIONAIRE'S CHRISTMAS BABY. Readers asked for their story and now they'll have it!
