Reminder: I have a special giveaway for Military Appreciation Month at this link.

Speaking of Military Appreciation, Navy Veteran Siera London joins us for a guest post to celebrate the upcoming release of CATCHING REBECCA, A Bachelor of Shell Cove Novel ...

The past 10 days have given me a new pair of rosy glasses for the summer. Two of my best friends have joined me on Key West, at separate times, for a little R&R and in the midst of enjoying their company I’ve learned something about myself. There’s no question how Key West earned the name, the eighth wonder of the world—it’s a little island with a big city feel. Island living is a part of my everyday existence, and in some ways I take the relaxed atmosphere, warm gulf waters, and the sunshine for granted. Playing tour guide for my friends, renewed the magic of living in a tropical paradise. It’s eye opening to gain a new perspective of your world by viewing the same opportunities through someone else’s lens.

In my upcoming release, Catching Rebecca, the heroine is forced to confront the consequences of harboring secrets, and living a less than authentic life. Rebecca Lynn gains a new perspective of how past decisions have impacted the man she truly loves.

Going to the chapel, and we’re gonna get …What?

Trapped by family obligations, Rebecca Lynn Holbrook, the heir to Holbrook Industries, is not the spoiled rich girl everyone thinks she is. She’s a company asset to be sold and traded. In exchange for the cash infusion the company needs, Rebecca Lynn has seven days to complete a negotiated marriage contract. There’s just one hitch in the plan—her lover—sexy ex-Navy officer Darwin Masters.

Darwin Masters is not the man he used to be. He has no use for the constraints of society nor family expectations. When a tragic accident leads him back to Shell Cove, he finds healing and comfort in Rebecca Lynn’s arms. Focused on starting his security firm and building a new life with the woman he loves, Darwin is blindsided by news of Rebecca Lynn’s impending nuptials.

But nothing is as it appears. When an impulsive decision lands Rebecca Lynn in Darwin’s arms once again, it sets off a chain reaction of dangerous consequences neither of them anticipated.

With Rebecca Lynn in danger, and Darwin’s fledgling company in jeopardy, how will they protect their love and outwit the powerful enemy fast approaching?

  5. No particular favorite - they're all so beautiful. I don't get to a beach very often but I always take home a collection of shells. I've also bought some gorgeous ones.

    1. I thought I would have a large collection on shells living on an island, not so. Key West has reef about 6 miles off shore, so the shells that wash ashore are minimal.

  7. Being able to who off your home area is a great way to see it through new eyes. I like to think those who host/play tour guide are happier people because their appreciation is refreshed here and there.

As a young girl I loved finding and bringing home shells. Unfortunately in MN we have fairly lackluster colors and varieties of shells. So when on a family vacation to the Bahamas I made sure to do some searching. And it paid off, I found a beautiful pink conch shell...and it's huge! I still have it :)

    1. Ah! It's nice that you kept your Bahamas conch shell through the years.

  8. Siera is a new Author for me and I'm looking forward to reading about Rebecca. I used to collect shells in grade school. That was many years ago. Unusual shells were the most interesting.

  10. I collected shells while in the Philippines and my husband added to them when he was stationed in Guam and Thailand. The many different murex shells are my favorite. The long, delicate spines of some varieties make them hard to find intact. I have a lively large white on my husband got while diving in Guam.
