Reminder - I have a special giveaway for July at this link.
The Washington Romance Writers (WRW) are hosting their annual Reader Luncheon (link) on Saturday, October 8, 2016. I look forward to chatting with Avery Flynn:
Award-winning romance author Avery Flynn has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip.
She fell in love with romance while reading Johanna Lindsey’s Mallory books. It wasn’t long before Avery had read through all the romance offerings at her local library. Needing a romance fix, she turned to Harlequin’s four books a month home delivery service to ease the withdrawal symptoms. That worked for a short time, but it wasn’t long before the local book stores’ staffs knew her by name.
Stylist Elle Olsen lives in fear of someone discovering her secret identity as Princess Eloise. But the men who killed her entire family in a bloody coup have done just that and now they’re coming for her. All Elle wants is to disappear into anonymity again, but the panty-melting billionaire who kidnaps her isn’t about to let that happen.
On the society pages, smoking hot financier Dominick Rasmussen is one of the world’s most eligible bachelors, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. As a secret resistance fighter, his one goal isto get Princess Eloise on the throne and restore the monarchy. The biggest problem? His stubborn and sexy undercover princess has no interest in ever wearing a tiara again.
Their goals couldn’t be more opposed, but neither Dom nor Elle can deny the attraction bringing them closer together. As the stakes rise and danger increases, they are forced to choose between love and country...

I have Avery's HIS UNDERCOVER PRINCESS in my TBR pile ...

I am giving away a book choice from my convention stash. To enter the giveaway,
1. Avery obviously loves shoes - how about you? In my younger days, I wore the 4 inch heels. Today, I love slip on sandals ... they remind me of my beloved Hawaii.
2. Comments are open through Saturday, July 23, 10 pm in Baltimore.
3. I'll post the winner on Sunday, July 24.

I have never been able to wear flip flops or anything else that goes between my toes. I never could wear high heels. Now I mainly go barefooted or wear Nike sneakers, per my doctor's address... I have been wearing sandals lately, but now my feet hurt. I wish I could wear some of the lovely shoes I see.
ReplyDeleteLove shoes

I tend to wear flats or runners. I used to wear heels, but never felt comfortable in them.

ReplyDeleteI do like shoes, have all different pairs. Sandals, flipflops, heels ballerinas, sneakers wedges... It's fun to change them to how you feel.
ReplyDeleteI've never been one for shoes - I have a pair of comfy flats and a pair of comfy runners that I love. I'm terrible in heels
ReplyDeleteI used to be a shoe addict but since I now have foot problems I can only wear flats and sandals!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of heels, but no longer. Sandals and sneakers just too comfortable.

I love flip flops however I can't wear them all year round.
ReplyDeleteI hate flip flops. Never wore them, even as a kid.
ReplyDeleteI wore 3 and 4 inch heels for work for 15 years and could never do it now. I have a skinny foot so it was always hard to find anything to fit so I dreaded shoe shopping. I look for comfort now lol.
ReplyDeleteI always loved my stiletto heels. No way could I ever wear them now. Now, I wear slip on sandals with a little heel. I don't like flip flops on me.
ReplyDeleteI do love shoes - it's hard to find pretty & comfortable shoes - the comfortable ones are often wide & clunky, but I keep looking!
ReplyDeleteLove heels, but I usually wear flats for comfort.
ReplyDelete"Back in the day" I, too, wore heels despite many events when I retired early due to foot pain. And now I have plantar fasciitis and wear orthotics in my flat shoes. So not worth wearing heels when you're young! Ha! What I miss the most are flipflops and thong sandals. Boo hoo. jdh2690@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteI adore shoes and love my heels! I have a hard time wearing flip flops since I hate that snapping sound as they hit your heel. LOL
ReplyDeleteI like wearing sandals and comfy tennis shoes.
ReplyDeletelove shoes but don't wear high heels
ReplyDeleteI used to love shoes and wore my heels with pleasure. Today I hate the thought of shoes but wear flats or flip flops at home. Back problems ended my heel days.
